About Providence River Pedestrian Bridge

Upcoming pedestrian bridge spanning the Providence River that will connect the city's College Hill and Fox Point neighborhoods with Downtown. The bridge will use the existing piers of the former Interstate 195 bridge and will be over 400 feet long. The bridge is expected to connect two future city parks to be built on former Interstate 195 land. The project and adjacent parks are important pieces of the economic development of the Providence Innovation and Design District and newly created Interstate 195 Land, creating new open public space.
