Permit Details: King County Wastewater Treatment Division (WTD) is applying for a ROW use permit for the North Mercer Island Interceptor and Enatai Interceptor Upgrade Project (NME Project). The NME Project is a regional sewer upgrade project. The existing sewer pipelines in Bellevue run below the ordinary high water mark of Lake Washington (i.e., below the lakebed) across the East Channel, along the Enatai Shoreline, and up Mercer Slough before terminating at Sweyolocken Pump Station within the Mercer Slough Nature Park. Most of the pipelines were constructed in the 1950s and 1960s, and are reaching the end of their life expectancy. The proposed NME Project would replace portions of the existing pipeline, add new connections to support upgrades, rehabilitate sections of pipeline that cannot be replaced using primarily ultraviolet cured-in-place pipe methods, and add capacity to the system using horizontal directional drilling methods., 20-105461-GD
