1042 Atlantic Avenue Clears Hurdles in Public Review
A 17-story, mixed-use development, proposed for 1034-1042 Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn's Crown Heights neighborhood has slowly been navigating the public review process. Developed by , and designed by , it would consist of 2-separate buildings, containing residential units combined.
Several months ago, submitted an application requesting zoning map and text amendments, as well as a special permit to facilitate the new development. It has since been reviewed by Brooklyn Community Board 8, Brooklyn's Borough President, and by the City Planning Commission (CPC).
The application will now be sent to the City Council which has 50 days to hold a hearing and conduct a vote. After the City Council, it will cross the desk of the NYC Mayor who can either veto the project or issue the final stamp of approval.
