$135M Auto Zone facility in New Kent breaks ground
The new Auto Zone manufacturing facility for the east coast distribution center has broke ground. With construction set to start next month, Auto Zone has plans for an 800,000-square-foot building. It will be the first building to break ground in the New Kent City Center off Route 106 – Emmaus Church Road. Local government officials attended the recent ceremony as they are looking forward to housing the new Auto Zone facility. The new distribution center will offer 350 employment positions. The project is soliciting bids from a select group of contractors in order to obtain sealed bids for an industrial access road to serve the future AutoZone distribution center site development.
