14-Story Mixed-Use Project Approved in Brighton Beach
A 14-story mixed-use project has just been approved for 1002 Brighton Beach Avenue in Brighton Beach, Brooklyn. This comes after BKC3 Brighton LLC submitted land use applications and requested a zoning map change as well as a text amendment.
The new building is set to contain rental apartments (including 46 affordable units) and square feet of commercial space. This will consist of both offices and retail. Plans also call for an enclosed parking garage with enough room for vehicles. 34 commercial spaces will be provided, with the rest reserved for building residents.
Designed by , the structure will stand feet tall and total square feet. The project is a bit controversial among local residents as the new development is set to replace a historic bank building, currently occupying the project site.
