14-Story Mixed-Use Project Breaks Ground in Gowanus

General contractor, , has broken ground on a 14-story, mixed-use project, at 251 Douglass Street in Brooklyn's Gowanus neighborhood.

Jointly developed by Tavros Capital and Charney Companies, the building is set to contain rental apartments. Tenant amenities are to include a 6,000-square-foot landscaped roof, a fitness center, a basketball court, a resident lounge, and a bicycle storage area.

Plans also call for square feet of ground-floor retail space and 3,544 square feet of manufacturing space.

Designed by , 251 Douglass Street will stand feet tall and total square feet. Construction is ultimately expected to finish by the spring of 2025.
