$175M Commercial Development Proposed in Midlothian
A new commercial development is scheduled to be considered for a proposal next week by the Chesterfield planning commissioners. Midlothian Depot would be built on a 13-acre lot at 11706 and 11800 Midlothian Turnpike, 951 Alverser Drive and 11621 Old Buckingham Road. The project is expected to bring 30,00 square feet of retail space, 350 apartment units, and a 43,000 square feet grocery tenant. The planning commission is expected to vote on whether to recommend approval of the SJC Ventures rezoning and conditional-use request Thursday. Staff recommends approval of the project. Final approval of the request would be rendered by the Board of Supervisors at a future meeting.
