2-Building Multifamily Project Tops Out in Greenpoint

General contractor, , has topped out the concrete superstructure of a 2-building, residential development, going up at 75 Dupont Street in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Crews have also begun the facade installation process.

Developed by , the new buildings are to contain rental apartments, with 143 of these units to be set aside for affordable housing.

Plans also call for square feet of retail space (which will see use as a grocery store), as well as an enclosed parking garage, with enough room for vehicles.

The project site previously consisted of 10 separate lots, the largest of which was occupied by the Harte & Company factory. The plant was used to manufacture upholstery and plastic products until it shut its doors in 2004. It then sat vacant for almost 2-decades and was finally demolished during the summer of 2022.

Designed by , the buildings respectively stand 7 and 8 stories tall, totalling approximately 400,000 square feet combined. The project is ultimately expected to complete by the winter of 2025.
