27-Story Tower Starts to Rise in LIC

The concrete superstructure of a 27-story, mixed-use tower project, is beginning to ascend at 27-01 Jackson Avenue in Long Island City, Queens.

Developed by Lions Group NYC, and Fetner Properties, with Lions Group also serving as the general contractor, the building is set to contain rental apartments.

Approximately one-third of the units will be set aside for affordable housing. Plans also call for square feet of retail space, located on the ground floor, and an enclosed parking garage, with enough room for vehicles.

 

Designed by , the structure will stand feet tall and total square feet.

Construction is expected to take at least another year or two to complete. The job site sits directly across the street from 26-32 Jackson Avenue; a 49-story residential building, which is also currently being developed by Lions Group.
