$300M Indoor Vertical Farming Project Coming To Chesterfield County
Plans were announced this week for San Francisco-based Plenty Unlimited Inc. to build a $300 million campus on up to 120 acres within the industrial park that’s located in Meadowville Technology Park at 1600 Bermuda Hundred Rd in Chester. The campus will be built in multiple phases over a six-year period and plans to build under 10 buildings at 100,000 sqft each. The company started site work on the first 100,000-square-foot indoor vertical Driscoll's strawberry farming facility at the current 75-acre site. The berry farm is set to be completed by winter 2023-2024 and it will be the first to grow indoor, vertically farmed strawberries at scale. Stay tuned for more info and updates on this project.
