32 affordable housing units approved in Egleston Square
Westminster House, an upcoming affordable housing building located at 3012 Washington Street on the Roxbury side of Egleston Square, has received final approval for construction. Following the City of Boston’s Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA)’s approval of the project at yesterday’s meeting, construction of the four-story building, which will contain 32 apartments, can now proceed. Developed by social services nonprofit Elizabeth Stone House, the 3012 Washington Street development has been in the works since 2009 and was originally proposed to contain 27 units. The building will also feature a daycare for residents and neighbors, offices for Elizabeth Stone House and 20 parking spaces.
