380 Units Planned for Former Nike Missile Site
A Sketch Plan Application has been filed to redevelop the approximately 13.73-acre site previously used as a United States Army Nike missile launch site in Gaithersburg. The property was vacant for about 10 years, after which the U.S. federal government sold it to the developer in January 2022. Now plans call for up to 380 multi-family dwelling units in multiple structures up to five stories in height, a variety of green areas, and other amenities. In anticipation of redevelopment, demolition activities are currently underway on the property.
