40 residences proposed steps from Ashmont Station in Dorchester


Developer James Baker proposes to develop a five-story mixed-use building steps from Ashmont Station in Dorchester featuring 40 residences. Baker has not yet decided whether to offer residences as apartments or condominiums; plans for the building have not yet been filed with the Boston Planning & Development Agency (BPDA). 1,956 square feet of retail would be located along the building's ground floor, in addition to 1,865 square feet allocated for the existing church on site. Baker recently filed plans with the Boston Planning & Development Agency (BPDA) proposing to develop a 23,957-square-foot commercial and residential development at 110 Savin Hill Avenue in Dorchester, across from the Savin Hill MBTA Red Line station.
