450+ Unit Building Set to Rise in Bed-Stuy
General contractor, , is about to get started on a 17-story, mixed-use project, set to rise at 1057 Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn's Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood.
Jointly developed by Douglaston Development, Totem, and BEB Capital, the building will contain apartments, offered in one, two, and three-bedroom configurations. Approximately 137 of these units are to be dedicated to affordable housing.
Amassing over 35,000 square feet combined, tenant amenities are to include a fitness center with a golf simulator, a resident lounge, a landscaped roof deck, rooms for games and movies, and a children's playroom. In addition to residential space, plans call for square feet of ground-floor retail space, as well as an enclosed parking garage, with enough room for vehicles.
Designed by , the structure will stand feet tall and total square feet altogether. Construction is expected to take almost 3-years, with a completion date sometime in late 2025. The project is estimated to cost nearly $320 million and Wells Fargo Bank has already supplied a construction loan, valued at $185 million.
