8 Projects Win Approval in Boston Including Updated Plans for 625K SF Back Bay Office Tower
8 projects featuring over 1.1 million SF of space have won approval in Boston. Among the approved projects includes two new athletic field houses as well as the long-awaited 380 Stuart Street redevelopment in Back Bay. Additionally, there has been a change in developer for a South Boston project. Check out the full list of approvals below.
Plans have been approved for a new field house at 315 Mount Vernon Street in Dorchester. The projects call for a 3-story field house featuring 75,000 SF of indoor field, court, and track space.
A 3-story addition has been approved for 1154-1156 Dorchester Avenue in Dorchester. Plans call for 23 condo units with 2 retail spaces on the ground floor.
A notice of project change and a change in developer has been approved for 87-93 West Broadway in South Boston. Approved in 2017, the development will feature 65 residential units across a 6-story building.
A Boston-based developer has won approval for a redevelopment project at 1395 Washington Street in the South End. Plans call for a 6-story mixed-use residential development featuring 33 residential units.
Plans have been approved for a multifamily development at 90 Braintree Street in Allston. Plans call for 111 residential units and nearly 10,000 SF of public open space.
New Sweeney Field Athletics Complex
A notice of project change has been approved for the approved Sweeney Field redevelopment at the Wentworth Institute of Technology. Plans call for a new 116,000 SF complex with underground team house complete with new stands, locker rooms, and 330 parking spaces.
North End Cross Street Boutique Hotel
Plans have been approved for a hotel redevelopment of a parking lot in the North End. The North End Cross Street Boutique Hotel will feature 134 hotel rooms across a 5-story envelope with a ground floor and rooftop restaurant.
710-720 William T Morrissey Boulevard
Herb Chambers won approval for a 200+ parking-space Honda of Boston dealership at 710-720 Morrissey Blvd in Dorchester. Plans call for a 100,000+ SF dealership and showroom.
Skanska has won approval for the long-awaited tower at 380 Stuart Street in Back Bay. The 625,000 SF building will include a publicly accessible lobby, open community plaza space, and a redesigned building featuring stepback terraces.
