42 Woodland Avenue Update 06/22/22

After CT Supreme Court Ruling, a 700+ Unit Project Moves Forward

Located at the site of a former trash processing facility, 42 Woodland Ave in Stamford has faced hurdles to get to the point in which construction can start after neighbors raised concerns to the Board of Representatives, which were deemed valid, a legal back and forth ensued, which landed at the Supreme Court, which ruled in favor of the developer Building and Land Technology.

The project, which can now move toward construction, calls for 714 apartments and 690 parking across two lots. The western portion of the property will rise between four and six stories when finished and house 174 apartments and 218 parking spaces. The eastern side will hold the bulk of the apartments, 540, and the rest of the parking spots, rising to 25 stories. Per city rules, it will also have about 54 affordable units.
