AIA Proposes Sustainability Renovations for its HQ on New York Ave NW
The American Institute of Architects has proposed plans that include substantial updates to the Existing Building’s mechanical systems to make the building more efficient and environmentally sustainable. This proposed new equipment includes, among other things, new high efficiency heat pumps, which will replace the existing natural gas boilers and will be located on the roof of the Existing Building’s southeast wing. There is also a plan to reconfigure the courtyard in the front of the building.
