Apartment Community with Workforce Housing Planned in Largo, Florida

St. Petersburg-based Belleair Development Group and Dallas-based Trammel Crow Residential have filed plans for a new apartment community in Largo. The developers are utilizing Florida’s Live Local Act which mandates that local governments, city and county, must authorize development of multifamily rentals on sites zoned as mixed-use, commercial or industrial with the stipulation that the developer set aside a minimum of 40% of the units for households making at or below 120% of area median income for at least 30 years. Allora Largo, which will be developed in two phases, will offer a total of 336 apartments, of which 40% will be designated to workforce housing. The first phase will include 240 apartment units and the second phase will offer 96 units. The apartments will include one-, two- and three-bedroom units. Community amenities will include a pool, clubhouse, fitness center, dog park, and courtyard. Plans show 400 parking spaces and electric vehicle charging stations. Construction of the first phase is expected in October 2024, with the first residences delivering by December 2025.
