Baltimore's First Heavy Timber Office Building Is Rising
40TEN will be a four-story 97,000 SF structure that will be constructed primarily with timber rather than steel or concrete. By using heavy timber, the pieces are prefabricated and shipped in segments of installation that can be assembled on site.
This method of construction reduces the cost of building foundation and leaves a smaller carbon footprint than other materials that are typically used.
