515 Fern Update 01/12/23

Biggest Office Tower Planned For West Palm Beach Granted Approval

On Wednesday, The West Palm Beach Downtown Action Committee gave the approval to developers for the site plan and four variances for the planned 515 Fern in West Palm Beach, FL. Members granted exemptions from development regulations on garage setbacks and on tree spacing and a reduction in the parking spaces to 785 from the required 965. Although city commissioners have the final say, committee members voted in favor of the abandonment of an alley as well. City approval of a few other aspects of the project are still under review.

515 Fern is expected to become the largest office building in downtown West Palm Beach, the 25-story building will feature 456,000 square feet of office and 15,000 square feet of retail. The building will offer a new connector road from Evernia Street to Fern Street, running parallel to the Brightline station, and will offer enhanced pedestrian connectivity from the station to The Square with a partially covered pathway along the east façade of the building.

Construction of 515 Fern is expected to break ground this year and be completed by 2025.
