Northeastern expands Huntington Avenue development site with acquisition of adjacent pub and pizza shop for $5.3 million
Northeastern University has acquired the 3,800 square foot single-story Punter’s Pub and University House of Pizza retail building on Huntington Avenue, which is located adjacent to Northeastern’s Burnstein-Rubenstein development site, for $5.3 million. Northeastern has long planned to redevelop the existing Burnstein Hall and Rubinstein Hall dormitories and has previously proposed to construct an 18-story dormitory tower. The acquisition of the adjacent retail building presents the opportunity for increased density in a future development project.
