Boston's first Alfa Romeo and Maserati automotive dealership proposed in Brighton
Fiat Chrysler Automobiles proposes to construct a new dealership and service center for its’ Alfa Romeo and Maserati lines, which would be the lines’ first dealership in the City of Boston, at 1650 Soldiers Field Road in Brighton. A new 27,000 square foot, single-story building would be constructed on the 1.84-acre site, the remainder of which would be comprised of surface parking. Fiat Chrysler acquired 1650 Commonwealth Avenue for $14 million in March 2017.
An existing bank and vacant liquor store at 1650 Commonwealth Avenue would be demolished. Fiat Chrysler aims to start construction of the proposed project in the second quarter of 2018, with completion expected in the first quarter of 2019. Fiat Chrysler has submitted plans for the proposed project to the Boston Planning & Development Agency (BPDA), who is now reviewing the project.
