6747 Collins Avenue Update 04/12/23

Change of Plans For One of Miami Beach’s Last Vacant Oceanfront Parcels

A Miami-based, vertically integrated hotel investment group has filed new plans with Miami Beach Historic Preservation Board for their proposed hotel once called, Urbanica The Beach. The developer purchased the 1-acre lot at 6747 Collins Ave in 2019 for $38 million with plans to build an 11-story hotel with 209 rooms. Those plans were then approved by the preservation board in 2020.

Now 3 years later, the same developer has filed new plans for the hotel to rise 16 stories and will include 160 hotel rooms at a proposed height of 200 feet tall. A gym, a loading dock, and a parking garage would be located on the first three floors. The main amenity deck, which would include an outdoor pool, would be located on the fourth floor, while the rooms would be located on the upper floors.

The Miami Beach Historic Preservation Board is set to review the revised plans on May, 9th 2023.
