Chestnut Hill Realty Submits Prelim New Plans for Coolidge Corner Development

Chestnut Hill Realty has submitted preliminary plans for a mixed-use project on the Waldo/Durgin Street site in Coolidge Corner. The project would feature a 210 room hotel with a restaurant/bar, fitness center, and amenity spaces for hotel guests and a 13 story apartment building. The residential building would include 143 apartments (1 & 2 bedrooms) plus a café and co-workspace on the ground floor. Both buildings will be serviced by a 289-space garage underneath the site with 70 spaces allocated to the hotel; 158 spaces allocated to the apartment building and 10 spaces allocated to the co-workspace. The remaining 47 spaces are to replace the existing parking on the site as well as a 14- space public parking lot at the corner of John St. and Green St. that CHR has agreed to convert into a pocket park. Chestnut Hill Realty had previously proposed a nearly 300 unit apartment building on this site.
