Cordova Inn Expansion Progressing
Construction crews are making progress on the expansion of the historic Cordova Inn in downtown St. Petersburg. The exterior walls are up. On the interior, the metal stud wall framing on the second floor is underway and the layout of the interior walls on the third floor is progressing. The mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection on the first two floors are being installed. The hotel is undergoing a major expansion that will grow the hotel from 32 to 94 rooms while adding a restaurant and a rooftop bar and pool to the property, according to plans recently filed with the city. Built in 1921, The Cordova Inn is located at 253 2nd Avenue North and was added to the list of National Register of Historic Places in 2004.
