Developer Has Plans to Build 1000 Homes + More on Part of The Agricultural Reserve in Palm Beach County, Fl

One West Boca-based developer is proposing to change Palm Beach County's ban to build any new development on the 22,000 acres of their Agricultural Reserve located West of Boca Raton. The developer currently owns 5,000 acres of what is considered a portion of the Agricultural Reserve and is currently leasing to Hundley Farms.

After several attempts at land swap proposals with the county, the developer has recently filed plans for the largest remaining piece of farmland in the county.

The new proposal features a 1,000-home age-restricted community along with 277 workforce housing units with 1,600 of the 5,000 acres set aside for continued farming, a Water Resource Project, parks, and a Jewish Synagogue.

Plans are scheduled to be finalized by Summer 2023.
