Developer Lands $72.5M Loan for Gowanus Mixed-Use Project
Developer, , has just secured a $72.5 million loan for a 17-story, mixed-use project, set to rise at 544 Carroll Street in Brooklyn's Gowanus neighborhood. Issued by TD Bank, this influx of capital will be used to fund all construction costs from the ground up.
Designed by , with interiors envisioned by Cl-oth Interiors, the building is set to contain rental apartments, offered in one and two-bedroom configurations. Approximately 30% of these units will be reserved for affordable housing. Plans also call for square feet of ground-floor retail space.
Tenant amenities are to include a fitness center with a yoga room, an indoor swimming pool, an outdoor terrace, a courtyard, a resident lounge, a bicycle storage room, a general storage space, and a package room.
544 Carroll Street will ultimately stand feet tall and total square feet. Demolition is currently in progress, but construction is set to break ground within the calendar year. will serve as the general contractor, and work is expected to complete sometime in 2025.
