Developers Celebrate Ground Breaking for Maine’s 1st New Build Town Center at The Downs
Developers Peter Michaud and Rocco Risbara along with Governor Janet Mills celebrated the groundbreaking for the Town Center at the Downs, Scarborough last week. Phase 1 of the 525-acre project will include a mix of local businesses, boutiques, restaurants, housing, and an Allagash Brewing tasting room. The mixed-use community will embody the “live, work, and play” concept and it has earned the moniker “A Community Trifecta.” At full build out the project is set to include nearly 2,000 residential units along with 2 million square feet of commercial space. The first phase of the Town Center is slated for completion in 2025.
