E4H led the design of the project, working closely with community stakeholders to prioritize needs and improve patient access throughout the entire process. The new pharmacy is federally funded and provides specialized packaging that sorts medications for daily use as well as delivery to housebound patients. Located just off the main lobby on the first floor of the existing health center, this project includes a new retail pharmacy, consultation and immunization clinic space, and multi-purpose community rooms.

Located in the heart of Lynn, Massachusetts, the Lynn Community Health Center (LCHC) is a non-profit, multicultural, community health center serving over 40,000 patients throughout the region. LCHC uses an innovative, integrated patient-centered medical home model of care, which is designed to respect each patient’s unique needs. E4H provided planning and architectural design, and led a multi-day Lean 3P process to ensure the new pharmacy meets community needs, prioritizes staff safety, and optimizes workflows.

“Collaborating with the Lynn Community Health Center staff, and our project partners allowed us to design an efficient facility that better provides for this community,” remarked Kevin Neumann, Principal, AIA.

The project team includes Lee Kennedy Co (Construction), Stantec (Owner’s Project Manager), and AKF Group (MEP Engineer). E4H is committed to enhancing community health and wellness, bolstering innovative research initiatives, and continuing its mission of designing for the future of healthcare and health science + technology.
