Enoch Pratt Free Library voted for expansion + apartments
The Baltimore City Board of Estimates voted on the sale of the city-owned property at 856 Washington Boulevard in the Washington Village/Pigtown neighborhood. The Enoch Pratt Free Library was sold to local developer, Ernst Valery who has plans to double the size of the library and add apartment units on the upper floors. Valery budgeted $270,000 to this library redevelopment, will purchase the property for $1 in exchange for providing a larger space for the library and a new addition of modern apartments.
