Excavation Progresses for 17-Story Rental Project in Gowanus
Drilling and excavation work are progressing for a 17-story, mixed-use project, going up at 380 4th Avenue in Brooklyn's Gowanus neighborhood.
Crews are working approximately 1-story below street level in order to construct the foundation, which will sit beneath a cellar level.
Developed by , the building will contain rental apartments, with 50 of these units to be dedicated to affordable housing.
Plans also call for square feet of ground-floor retail space, and an enclosed parking garage, with enough room for vehicles. Additionally, the building will have a rear yard, and a number of tenant amenities, such as a roof terrace.
Designed by , the structure will stand feet tall and total square feet. is serving as the general contractor of the project and work is scheduled to complete by the summer of 2025.
