Excavation Underway for 8-Story Rental Project in Greenpoint

General contractor, , has begun to excavate the foundation of an 8-story, residential building, soon to rise at 170 Freeman Street (aka 1036 Manhattan Avenue) in Brooklyn's Greenpoint neighborhood.

Jointly developed by Green Street Group and Tembo Property Group, the building is set to contain rental apartments. Plans also call for square feet of ground-floor retail space, as well as a cellar level, and a rear yard.

Designed by , the structure will stand feet tall and total square feet. Construction is estimated to finish by the spring of 2025.
