Facade Installation Progresses for 2-Building Vinegar Hill Rental Project

Developer and general contractor, , is currently wrapping up the facade installation process for a 7-story, residential project, going up at 218 Front Street in Vinegar Hill, Brooklyn.

Consisting of 2-separate structures, the new development is being constructed on a through-lot, spanning between Front Street and York Street.

Combined, the pair of buildings will contain rental apartments, with up to 66 affordable units on offer.

Plans also call for square feet of ground floor retail space, 180 square feet of community facility space, and an enclosed parking garage, with enough room for vehicles.

Designed by , the buildings will each stand feet tall and are to total square feet combined. Back in October of 2022, Valley Bank supplied a $135 million loan to finance all construction costs from beginning to end. The project is ultimately expected to wrap up by December of 2024.

The job site consists of a square foot lot, which used to be zoned for industrial use and was previously occupied by 5-separate structures, dating back to the 1960s. All of these were demolished prior to the start of construction.
