Facade Work Wrapping Up for Bronx Point
General contractor, , has nearly finished installing facade materials for the first phase of Bronx Point. Located at 575 Exterior Street in the South Bronx, construction broke ground on the 22-story, mixed-use development, a little over a year and a half ago.
Developed jointly by L+M Development Partners and Type A Projects, the building will contain affordable housing units, available in studio, one, two, and three-bedroom configurations. This number will eventually increase to 1,045 units after the later phases of the project are completed.
Tenant amenities are to include a fitness center, a community lounge, an outdoor terrace, a children’s room, and a bike storage area.
In addition to residential units, Bronx Point will serve a variety of other functions. The building will contain 56,000 square feet of community facilities, and square feet of ground-floor retail space. It will also house the Universal Hip Hop Museum. Stepping away from the structure, 2.8 acres of the project site will be turned into a public green space, envisioned by Marvel Architects.
Designed by , Bronx Point's first phase will stand feet tall and total square feet. Construction is set to finish towards the end of 2023.
