Georgetown U Unveils Plans for Darth Vader Building Renovations
Georgetown University has filed plans for renovations to the Darth Vader building along Mass. Ave. NW. The University acquired the property in 2021 for $85,000,000. Now they plan to undertake a full-scale renovation of the existing building to modernize the existing structure and adapt it to the University’s planned programs. The building is expected to be used as a multi-use education facility for new learning hubs and interdisciplinary programming, including programs in the School of Continuing Studies, McDonough School of Business, the EarthCommons Institute, the School of Health and School of Nursing, and executive education programs. Renovations will include new entrances, windows, and new ground-floor retail space.
