Hackensack Site Trades for $10.5M Ahead of New Development

A 120,182 square-foot development site, located at 123 Anderson Street in Hackensack, New Jersey, has just been purchased by developer, Hornrock Properties, from an unknown previous owner, for $10.5 million.

The lot is presently occupied by 3 commercial buildings and a large parking lot. It is also conveniently positioned just across the street from NJ Transit's Anderson Street commuter rail station.

Hornrock has major plans for the site, which involve demolishing the current structures on the property and replacing them with a large, multifamily development. The new building will boast 350 residential units and at least 7,500 square feet of ground-floor retail space.

Although not officially announced, it's assumed that the architect is Minno & Wasko. In 2022, the design firm produced conceptual renderings for the new development (those shown), and it also has an established relationship with Hornrock, stemming from a collaboration on a previous Hackensack multifamily project.
