Landon School Update 07/19/22

Historic Property Being Prepared for Relocation to Make Way For Landon's New Boehly Upper School

Last month, the ground breaking ceremony was held for the Landon School, $50 million construction and renovation project.

The project consists of constructing a new Upper School building, renovating and modernizing the existing Lower School and Middle School Buildings, and moving a historic building on campus.

The Andrews House is a historic building on the campus that will need to be moved to make way for the new Boehly Upper School of Landon School in Bethesda.

Excavation work is ongoing to expose the basement foundation wall. Next, the team will punch holes in the foundation to slip in steel beams to support the structure during the move.

Once fully supported, the rest of the foundation walls will be demo’d and the house will be raised and moved on dollies.
