IMP Approved for Boston Medical Center, Includes 170K SF Lab Development
An institutional master plan has been approved for the Boston Medical Center to begin redevelopment of the hospital campus.
Among the approved developments include reuse and renovation of approximately 102,000 SF of the interconnected Collamore and Old Evans buildings for 30 affordable units as well as a 170,000 SF life science research building featuring 11 stories and 164 feet.
Additional projects include a 37,000 SF 9th floor addition within the Menino building, 15,500 SF 6th floor addition in the Yawkey building, and a shared 6,100 SF lobby between the two medical buildings.
