Large Multifamily Project Breaks Ground in West Hartford
Construction recently kicked off on a 5-story, multifamily development, set to rise at 950 Trout Brook Drive in West Hartford, Connecticut.
Developed by Continental Properties, with Lessard Design serving as the architect, the S-shaped building will contain 172 rental apartments, offered in one, two, and three-bedroom configurations. Approximately 9 units will be dedicated to affordable housing.
Tenant amenities are to include a resort-quality pool, a lounge area with a fire pit and BBQ stations, a fitness center, a co-working space, a clubroom, a game room, a pet washing station, and a catering kitchen.
Plans also call for both an open parking area and an enclosed garage (with enough room for 323 cars combined), as well as EV charging stations, and a bicycle storage area.
The project site spans 3.95 acres and was previously occupied by the Children's Museum. The Children's Museum was relocated and the old building was demolished in order to make way for the new development. Construction is ultimately expected to wrap up in 2025.
