Lego to build $1 billion plant in Chesterfield
Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin announced Lego has chosen to build their U.S. manufacturing plant in Meadowville Technology Park in Chesterfield. The $1 billion project is expected to break ground this year with the start of production in 2025. Lego Group CEO Niels Christiansen said the Denmark-based company was drawn to the Richmond area for its workforce, manufacturing support and transport links. He said the plant would be a carbon-neutral-run facility that would include a solar park.
