Metro Station Update 04/24/23

MG Developer Receives City Approval for Metro Station

MG Developer announces it has received approval from the City of Hialeah to build Metro Station, a 55-unit transient-oriented multifamily community that will be located at 2691 East 11th Avenue, directly adjacent to the Metrorail and Tri-Rail Transfer Station. MG Developer’s Senior Vice President Diego Torrealba, and FC&E’s Chief Executive Officer Johnny Dao, acquired the 12,000 square foot parcel of land in 2022, the first joint venture between these companies.

This will be MG’s third multifamily project in Hialeah, complementing their existing project, Metro Parc, a 10-story, 559-unit, two-tower mixed-use apartment rental community located at 955 East 25th Street and 980 East 26th Street, as well as Metro Parc North, a 620-unit multifamily building located in the block directly to the north of Metro Parc.

“Hialeah is quickly emerging as a modern city. Our plan is focused on adding high-quality rental opportunities in areas that are close in proximity to transit systems,” said Diego Torrealba, Senior Vice President at MG Developer. “We are extremely proud to be collaborating with the city, to bring this quality of housing to Hialeah. It’s perfect for professionals that want to avoid daily commutes in traffic who work near transient hubs. Our goal is to continue building living spaces that are appealing to professionals and that provide modern-day conveniences.”

Metro Station is setting a new standard for how projects will be built in the future, as it continues to collaborate with city officials to bring multifamily projects near public transportation systems in Miami. This is one of the latest efforts from the City of Hialeah as they encourage residents to live near public transit in order to alleviate traffic congestion and promote a commuter lifestyle.

MG Developer and Baron Property Group’s acquisition of Metro Parc in 2021, marked the start of the company’s multifamily rental division. MG is committed to fulfilling the demand in the City of Progress for high-quality housing in the area while also giving residents the ability to commute easier and faster. This has been further solidified with Metro Parc North and now, Metro Station.

Metro Station will be a short distance from Hialeah Medical Services, Hialeah’s Arts District, Amelia Earhart Park, and only 15 minutes from Miami International Airport.

Led by Venezuelan-native Alirio Torrealba, MG Developer is a residential property development company headquartered in Coral Gables, Florida, that provides a comprehensive array of real estate-oriented services, from concept creation and property site selection to project advancement. He currently has several projects completed and in planning throughout Miami and continues to be Coral Gables’ most active residential developer.
