Midtown Office Tower Trades for $110M

A 33-story commercial tower, located at 126 East 56th Street in Midtown, Manhattan, has just been sold for $110 million. The structure was purchased by Sovereign Partners from the previous owner, Pearlmark Real Estate, in a deal brokered by Newmark Group.

Originally constructed in 1982, it was developed by Macklowe Properties and designed by Fox and Fowle Architects. Known currently as "Tower 56", it contains square feet of office space.

While suites are available in a variety of floorplans, the most prestigious space in the building is the full-floor penthouse, located on the 33rd floor. It features high-end materials, beautiful views of the surrounding Midtown area, and a private, wrap-around terrace.

Sometime this year, the building will also debut "Club 56"; an amenities suite featuring a conference room, a tenant lounge, a pantry, and a fitness center.

Totaling square feet altogether, Tower 56 is perfectly positioned for the tenant who doesn't require a large amount of space but is still seeking a higher-end, boutique-style, workspace.
