New Renderings Revealed for Redevelopment of Department of Agriculture Building
New Renderings have been released for the redevelopment of the former Department of Agriculture office building at 801 Maine Avenue.
The new mixed-use building will consist of approximately 454,442 square feet of gross floor area, including 22,600 sq. ft. of ground floor retail use and 498 new dwelling units. The building will be 100-120 feet tall and will include 244 parking spaces and 110 long-term bicycle spaces, and is seeking LEED Gold Certification.
The penthouse will contain communal recreation space for building residents and their guests, with adjacent outdoor recreation space and pool. Fifteen percent of the residential space will be affordable at 60% of the median family income, and the unit mix will span from studios to three bedrooms.
The new development will go before the Zoning Commission in the fall.
