Newspaper Printing Plant Trades for $92M in Jersey City

A large industrial/manufacturing complex, located at 125 Theodore Conrad Drive in Jersey City, NJ, recently traded hands for $92 million. The property was purchased by Goodman Group, from the previous owner, DN Property Co. LLC.

The 464,400-square-foot building was previously used as a newspaper printing plant by the New York Daily News. The publication occupied the facility for nearly 30 years (1993 to 2022), after which it began to outsource its printing operations to North Jersey Media Group.

In addition to manufacturing space, the building features plant offices, a press room, storage areas, and loading docks.

The complex also has parking for employees and delivery vehicles, as well as exterior structures for maintenance and truck fueling.

The property spans 21.7 acres and is located right near New York Harbor, with the Statue of Liberty in direct view. Goodman ultimately has plans to redevelop the site with a modern warehouse facility, although specific plans are yet to be announced.
