PEAK Files LOI to Renovate The Langham Hotel

The proposed project includes the refurbishment of all 317 guest rooms (including repurposing 5 rooms into a club lounge), a renovated ground floor lobby area, upgraded conference facilities, a new ballroom, and restyled restaurants.

The hotel is located in planned development area number 11. Except for the replacement of awnings and canopies on Pearl Street and Franklin Street and some additional cosmetic work to the exterior of the building such a new lighting, new signage, and alterations to certain exterior windows, all of the work for the proposed project will be undertaken within the existing footprint of the hotel building and without any increase to the height of the building or gross floor area for the hotel.

The Langham Hotel Boston is a luxury hotel in a historic building located at 250 Franklin Street in the financial district of Boston. Constructed in 1922, with a 1953 addition, the architecturally significant structure was the first Federal Reserve Bank of Boston and designated a Boston Landmark in 1978. The hotel has received a four-star rating from Forbes and a four-diamond rating from AAA.
