Penn & 4th at Union Market Nearing Approval
The DC Zoning Board has voted to take proposed action to approve the Consolidated PUD, related Map Amendment for Penn & 4th @Union Market. The board will take final action on the proposal on January 11th. The development site includes the existing in-line retail buildings at 1329-1341 4th Street, NE, the existing Motel 6 building at 1345 4th Street, NE, and the surface parking lot at Parcel 129/45. Plans call for 2 buildings to include 374 units, a mix of residential and lodging units with roughly 30,000 square feet of retail space. The buildings are designed to LEED v.4 Gold standards and will feature 2,300+ SF of solar panels.
