100 West 37th Street Update 12/23/21

Permits Filed for 68-Story Tower in Midtown

Permits have been filed for a 68-story, mixed-use tower at 100 West 37th Street in Midtown, Manhattan. Developed by , the building would contain 300 residential units, spread across square feet. There would also be square feet of commercial space. It's not clear yet what this will be used for, but based on the volume, it would likely be office space. Designed by , the tower would be a noticeable addition to the Midtown skyline, standing feet tall, and totaling square feet. The site is currently a vacant lot on the corner of Sixth Avenue and West 37th Street. However, with a footprint of just under 3,000 square feet, the parcel on its own is far too small to legally build a skyscraper of this magnitude. Therefore, neighboring structures would almost certainly have to be demolished in order to comply with NYC zoning requirements.
