Permits Filed for 8-Story Supportive Housing Project in Olinville
Building permits have just been filed for an 8-story, supportive housing development, at 3663 White Plains Road in the Olinville neighborhood of the Bronx. Developed by , a nonprofit organization dedicated to the wellness of New Yorkers faced with disabilities, mental illness, and addiction, the building is set to contain 96,472 square feet of community facility space. This will consist of living units and likely support services as well. Plans also call for an open parking lot, with enough room for vehicles.
Designed by , the structure will stand feet tall and total square feet. Although the project site totals square feet, the footprint of the new building will only span 12,568 square feet. While it's not entirely clear just yet where it will be positioned on the property, the lot has plenty of unbuilt land and it's possible that no structural demolition will be required.
