Permits Filed for 9-Story Affordable Project in Williamsburg

Building permits have just been filed for a 9-story, residential development, at 31 Bartlett Street in Brooklyn's Williamsburg neighborhood.

Developed by the NYC Department of Housing Preservation and Development alongside St. Nicks Alliance, the building will contain affordable housing units, offered in studio, one, and two-bedroom configurations. Plans also call for a cellar level, a rear yard area, and rooftop solar panels.

Designed by , the structure will stand feet tall (including the bulkhead) and total square feet. The lot is currently vacant and no demolition will be required going forwards.

The project comes as part of a multi-building affordable development, known as "Bartlett Crossing". Bartlett Crossing, along with a similar development, called "Broadway Commons" is a response to NYC's Broadway Triangle RFP, which will ultimately create up to 250 new affordable units in the Williamsburg area.
