Permits Filed for 9-Story Mixed-Use Project on Lower East Side
Permits have just been filed for a 9-story, mixed-use development at 183 Chrystie Street on Manhattan's Lower East Side. Developed by , the building would contain residential units. Based on their planned average size of over 1,800 square feet, these will almost certainly be condos. The building will also have square feet of commercial space, which would likely come in the form of ground-floor retail. Plans call for a single-story basement level as well. Designed by , the structure would stand feet tall and total square feet. An existing 2-story commercial building would have to be demolished in order to make way for the new development.
